Leading scholar in critical thinking education to visit UQ

Keith Topping is Professor of Educational and Social Research and director of the Centre for Peer Learning at the University of Dundee. His main research focus is Peer Learning and other forms of non-professional tutoring targeted to raise achievement; enhance motivation, self-esteem and confidence; develop social, communication and other transferable skills; and promote inclusion. He is author of approximately four hundred publications, including books, chapters, peer reviewed journal papers, and distance learning packages. His works have been translated in more than ten languages.

Prof Topping will be visiting UQ as a guest of the UQCTP in the second half of May 2018. He will deliver masterclasses for teachers in the Aspiring Thinkers program and the ITaLI Teaching Masterclasses series, a public lecture, and a keynote address at the Independent Public Schools Alliance gala dinner.
